Started working as an entry level drafter for the
GIS department for about four months before I was placed on the BAU (Business
as Usual) team. This team works with cable companies to draft route and
design for fiber and coax cables for businesses all over the U.S. I
would draft pole information into the drawings to send out to utility
companies for permits allowing our clients to attach their cables to power
poles. I was later promoted to Drafting Coordinator to lead the
permitting team. My job as a coordinator was to review the drafters
work and send it out to the clients on time. My duties are to communicate
with the utility companies and keep track of permits that are pending the
approvals. In September of 2013 I was promoted to the BAU fiber team to
design fiber route that would provide cable service to cable company’s clients. In this role we are to complete the fiber design and
create design prints and splicing reports for the construction team to use
during installation. The Home Depot……………………………………………………February
